Valentines day 1997 - I popped into my favourite shop, The Malt Kiln in Haddington, just to have a quick look at the lovely goodies and buy a sheet of wrapping paper. I heard the shop was for sale and as the saying goes the rest is history. On April 21, 1997 I became the proud new owner of Malt Kiln Gifts and quickly established an excellent reputation that made Malt Kiln known as the place in Haddington to buy great gifts. I choose to stock things that are a little bit different and ones I would give to my own friends and family. The shop is bright and airy, filled with lovely tempting gifts and cards - my customers often tell me they know they will always find that special something at Malt Kiln Gifts.
Our suppliers make comments too... here are a couple of recent ones
"The Malt Kiln was the first shop to stock my work back in April, 2015. Two years later and we're happily working together".
Julie Fountain, Beech Art Glass
"I first met Frances at the British Craft Trade Fair, and remember her not only for being one of our first trade customers, but as someone who is really passionate about her shop and the products she chooses to stock. It's been a joy to work with Frances over the last year and long may it continue".
